Fresh powder. Epic air. Stoked for another day to hurdle down a hill faster than any novice who signed a waiver should ever go on two flat sticks. Someone on the lift said they saw Lindsey Vonn training here while recovering from her torn ACL. That someone was me. What I really saw was a blonde-haired figure zipping past me as I hyped myself up at the top of the bunny hill. Was it Lindsey?? I guess we’ll never know. Celebrities aside, Timber Ridge still lays out the red carpet. Exciting hills and thrills awaited us on our first, but certainly not last, visit. We got our snow legs relatively quickly and then had the welcome challenge of deciphering where to start our day. Dean’s Pass - you were too good to us. We passed through you so much we could have done a colonoscopy. Willow - what a lovely surprise. Spotted from a distance early on, we knew we had to reach you. Once we surpassed the crossover, a whole new world opened up. What could compare to the excitement of letting the momentum from Dean carry you right to the base of Willow? Not much, except watching the snowboarders CRUSH some of the features on those northern slopes. Extremely gnarly dudes and dudettes. Our favorite of the night though… none other than Burt’s Road. Someday, likely on the beaches of Florida or California, I reckon I’ll sense Burt is near. Traveling down his windy road and feeling truly immersed in the trees was exceptional. It felt like a hideaway amidst the hustle and bustle of the other trails. It gave me such a sense of calm, that I expect Burt himself to be exuding that in warmer weather, with me not far behind. Timber Ridge delivered. One look at the bar around 6:30 pm and you know this place is the hub of the community. So gather your crew, prepare for an epic dump, and spend your day shredding and carving at this pleasant park. If you go, tell em a powder hound and snow bum sent you.

I love that they host many school skiing programs. Rentals are easy and in good condition. Slopes are good considering the area has some short rolling hills. Food from cafeteria was mediocre at best. I’d reccomend bringing your own food. Chair lifts, while fully functional for sure are showing their age. All facilities are showing their age but it’s still a great place to ski especially for learning! I hope the winters offer more snow to keep this local gem open for years to come.

This is a great lower Michigan skiing location. Well groomed, the staff is SO FRIENDLY (welcoming and warm smiles and attitudes). If you have a family or you are a single skier… you will really enjoy all they have to offer. Also if you have the opportunity to say “HI” to Luke and Amy”, that are really down to earth kind of people…

I have been buying a season pass here for over 20 years. Great terrain and the new magic carpet is awesome for beginners and teaching people. Being family owned and operated makes a big difference. I love this place!

Never skied in this area and did not know what to expect. The hills were much higher than what I thought they would be. They were well groomed. It had snowed both days while we were here. We stayed at a VRBO lodging for a mini get away vacay. Glad to get out of Chicago. It was just a little over a two hour drive. Worth exploring Michigan.

My 6-year old daughter and I had such a great time skiing here on Thursday. We had only tubed here in prior years. She had her best day skiing since we started nearly 3 years ago. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. This is such a great, family-run place to have locally for everyone in the area to enjoy. I look forward to making many more memories here with my family.

Great little ski area that's not all that little. You'll find a favorite slope to share with friends and rarely wait in a lift line. All this wrapped up with a cosy nostalgic feel and of course hit the lodge and enjoy their world famous Chicken Strips !

Had an amazing time today at Timber Ridge! Some great snow for a great ski day. Service was excellent. Lucas, who helped us for our skis, was amazing and a big help! Wish more lifts were open but overall great place to go!
